I have put them up (dead easy), they have stayed in place even thought it has been so cold and taken them down (dead easy). What more could I want? Tried using these on the painted underside of my roof overhang but they came off, taking the paint with them! Might have worked better if I'd stuck them to the uPVC fascia, but I think they are probably not so effective in very cold weather. Also they are quite small so are probably not designed to hold the rubber cable-type connectable lights that I have. - Angie,Wirral
